31 January 2026 we did what Mufaro does best we created a safe space. Our first 2026 meet-up was filled with deep, honest, and interactive conversations that reminded us how powerful it is when women feel safe enough to speak and be heard.
Thank you to every woman who showed up and leaned into the moment. A special thank you to one of the Mufaro ladies who shared such a powerful testimony and encouragement you touched hearts and strengthened the room.

We closed infertility Awareness Month on 27 June ,Mufaro Foundation reflected on the meetup where we shared powerful stories and insights.Our founder’s Jestina Gandawa43-year journey with infertility inspired us, showcasing the importance of support from loved ones and self-acceptance in turning pain into purpose. We’re committed to empowering women living with infertility to fulfill their life’s purpose.
We were honored to have Bernadette Chikoko share her experiences navigating infertility and stigma, highlighting the journey to acceptance.
Our SonographerBrownie Mhlanga provided valuable insights on the health side of fertility, emphasizing that infertility is often not a personal fault, but rather a complex issue with various factors.
As we move forward, we’re reminded that support and understanding are crucial. Let’s continue to break the silence and build a community that empowers and uplifts those affected by infertility.

We hosted our first-ever infertility educational workshop, and 23 incredible women gathered to share their journeys, breaking the silence and confronting stigma. We’re grateful to Dr. Abigail Magwenzi Abigail Magwenzi for gracing our event, highlighting mental health’s importance in relation to infertility. She encouraged these women to look beyond societal norms and fulfill their life’s purposes.
Our founder’s Jestina Gandawa courageous 43-year journey living with infertility resonated deeply, reminding them they’re not alone. We discussed the physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of infertility, emphasizing holistic support and care.
We’re thankful for the brave women who joined us, boldly speaking out and taking a step towards healing, empowerment, and building a supportive community. Let’s break the silence and shatter the stigma surrounding infertility. Together, we’ll build a supportive community where women navigating infertility feel valued, empowered, and supported in their journey towards wellness and fulfillment.

We had an opportunity to commemorate International Women’s Day in Zvimba District at Kutama Day School.As Mufaro Foundation we empowered women with new skills, teaching them to make baobab fruit juice and baobab coffee. We also broke the silence around infertility, promoting awareness and support.
